It was also amazing to see how much we all have in common. Beyond the drive and passion for storytelling that was evident in all your films, there were a few threads that seemed to tie many of us together - honoring or advancing familial legacy, school projects turned careers, horror movies, love for friends, family, and partners, and of course...Star Wars!! Were you inspired by a certain film or by listening to a filmmaker speak? Was it while holding your first camera or watching a friend laugh at your YouTube video? We want to hear your story. Make a film, 60 seconds or less, telling us how you became a filmmaker, and you could win one of the awesome prize packages listed below. Use any genre, style, and storytelling device you like. We're looking for an innovative concept, imaginative storytelling, and creative execution! So, how did you become a filmmaker? What's your story? Step 1 - Create your <60 second "My Story" masterpiece!
Step 2 - Upload it to Vimeo with the title "FILM TITLE, YOUR NAME - #MyStoryCompetition" and add "zacuto" to the video tags. Step 3 - Join this group and add your video. Step 4 - Your video will be approved the following morning M-F. Once your video is approved your submission is complete. Step 5 - Watch other peoples videos and wait to see who wins! Use #MyStoryCompetition to share this competition and your video on social. Good luck! Winners will be selected by a panel of Zacuto and some sponsor (KYNO, Vid-Atlantic) representatives. Winners will be notified and then announced on or by April 14th, 2017. 1. All content submitted must be original and created by the submitter. Credited influencer clips/images may be included but should be kept to a minimum. Remember - we're looking for creativity here, so simply showing us someone else's work will not help your film stand out! Please email any concerns on this point to rachel@zacuto.com. 2. All videos, with no exceptions, must be added to the Vimeo group no later than 11:59pm CST on March 31st, 2017. 2. Maximum video length, with no exceptions, is 60seconds long. This includes any credits or leading/trailing images. 4. No more than 1 video entry, in total, may be submitted per person. 5. No purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase chances of winning. 6. Open to all international participants 18 and over. (Please include English subtitles as necessary for non-English voiceover, dialogue etc..) 7. Winners will be notified by a Zacuto representative via Vimeo on or by April 14th, 2017. 8. By participating, you agree to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, you agree to accept the decisions of Zacuto as final and binding as it relates to the content of this contest.
